Description

Natural desert sand without added dyes and chemicals. The sand has been carefully sifted and processed to remove impurities and obtain a uniform grain size. The sand is an ideal substrate for animals living in desert and steppe areas. It conducts and retains heat perfectly. It stimulates natural animal behavior such as digging and burrowing. When mixed with clay it allows the animals to dig burrows for shelter. The addition of peat or ground coconut fibre aerates the substrate and increases the humidity in the tank.
